Topic: Business Basics

Many experts feel that the job description is the mother of all HR processes. Everything from recruitment and training to performance evaluations and compensation all stems from the Job Description. Learning to undertand all of the various parts of the employment life-cycle and how the job description touches them, will help you take your job description from a compliance exercise to be an important part of your development plan for your employees. When you have an up-to-date description, you can use it for recruiting, performance management and compensation. This workshop will review practical tips on how to use it in these key processes and how to maintain job descriptions that involve employees, managers and HR staff and if you don't have a job description process yet, you will receive basic templates and support in starting or "re-starting" your process.
